Since you all practiced your nail skills at-home with Madam Glam so much during the lockdown, it’s time to go on vacay really prepared! We know you might wanna do your nails before the vacation, but come on...some of you are so busy and excited with packing like...we bet you are trying to sort out your outfits since you stayed in your PJs all day for the past few months...or maybe focusing on essentials and totally forget to allow some time for mani and pedi...but you know what? It’s totally fine! You can do your nails once you get there, and with our cute accessories, traveling with us and your favorite gel polishes have never been so easy!
Together with Laura, we prepared some cute tips & tricks for your next vacay, including Madam Glam’s nail products, obvs!
MG: What are your nail-travel essentials?
Laura: A good hand cream, and hand sanitizer are always in my bag. A nail file is always very useful. If the trip is longer than 10 days, I carry a bag with a lamp and some gel polishes.
MG: Would you travel with your gel kit/manicure set or do your nails before going officially on vacation?
Laura: I do my nails before going on vacation but I will bring the travel kit just in case I want to change the color.
MG: Would carrying a travel bag with gel polishes and a mini led-lamp be an impediment?
Laura: Not at all, I always bring it as an extra and If I don’t use them (because the gel manicure lasts more than a week or two) I will do nails to friends or family members.
MG: What would you fit in your Madam Glam Holo Bag?
Laura: I always carry the Peel Off Base Coat, a light colour like Cupid, the No Wipe Top Coat and a lamp. In this way I can change the colour if I want or need to.
MG: How can you preserve your manicure while on vacation?
Laura: Don't use your nails as tools, don’t open boxes or cans with your nails. Keep your hands and cuticles moisturized, try wearing gloves when washing up and cleaning.
MG: In case of chipping, what should we do first?
Laura: Breathe! Hahaha….Try to cut the chipped piece if it is peeling, and buff the surface of the nail. If you don’t want to start over, transform it with Nail Art!

MG: What are your Nail Care DOs and DONTs when it comes to traveling?
DO an accurate manicure, push back cuticles. Avoid water, oils or lotion prior to the gel application. This way you’ll make sure you’ll have a long-lasting gel manicure.
DO take extra care in doing your manicure and application before leaving and use a good quality Top Coat- Madam Glam’s is the best!
DO opt for a not-too long, oval round shape manicure so they won’t break easily (with a square or stiletto long shape, you might damage them easily.
DO opt for some light colours, nudes, French Manicures or pinks, so if there is chipping or growing it won’t be too visible.
DON’T rush your manicure!
DON’T use dark gel colored polishes, chipping is more visible.
