Watermelon Sugar Nails with Crystal 🍉

Whether you usually prefer strawberries or pride yourself on being an apple-a-day kind of person, you have the admit that there's nothing more symbolic of summer than slicing open a perfectly-ripe-watermelon. Maybe it's the seasonal fruit or the Harry Styles anthem, but we're craving all things watermelon for summer 2021 — including our Nail Art.
It does sound crazy, we know, but watermelons are taking over the Nail World. Who wouldn’t like these kind of painted nails? They are fun, lively, bright and reminds us to eat more fruit!
We teamed up with Crystal Hoang—who created an easy, sweet Watermelon Nail Art design using our gels! Check out the step by step tutorial, grab your favorite Madam Glam Soak-Off Gel Colors & Nail Brushes and let's get to work!
you will need: Base Coat Gel, Perfect White, Limoncello, Amazonian Dream, Energize Your Day, Sunset in Hawaii, Lime Fizz, and Perfect Black.
🍉 First, use our Base Coat gel to start this mani right! Cure and add a splash of color on your nails with Lime Fizz for a glass effect! One coat will do it! Cure it and then, you can go ahead and start the base of the watermelon with Perfect White. Using our Long Fine Liner Brush, draw a half-moon to separate the watermelon slice and fill in with the gel color white all the way down to the cuticle base! Cure.
🍉This isn't your usual watermelon design, so for some glam, grab Amazonian Dream, Limoncello, Sunset in Hawaii and Energize Your Day, and using the same brush, go ahead and create some cute layers for your fruity design!
🍉 Now the magic happens! Using our Ombre Brush, blend the last layer of Energize Your Day and Sunset in Hawaii to create a beautiful ombre shade for your watermelon! Cure. Then, using a dotting tool, grab Perfect Black and start placing your tiny dots wherever you feel like to. Using the Long Fine Liner Brush, drag them upwards to form a teardrop shape and pull them gentle! This will make them look like cute little seeds. Cure! Last, you will need No-Wipe Top Coat for sealing your design and give your nails the long-lasting shine they really deserve! Cure and you're design is ready!
