Over a billion people in China and millions around the world will celebrate the Chinese New Year – the most important of Chinese holidays – Tuesday, February 5, 2019. This celebration is all about honoring deities and ancestors and especially spending time with family.

The Chinese NewYear is also coinciding with the New Moon, this is why it’s called the Lunar New Year. Each year is associated with one of 12 animals that exist in the Chinese zodiac, so this Lunar New Year 2019 will be the year of Earth Pig- a representation of kindness & generosity.
