For Episode 7, our special guest is Manisha! Let’s follow her journey! ✨

MG: When did you start your career? What do you enjoy most about doing nails? 

I started doing nail art almost four years ago. I like creative things and I find doing nail art designs a great tool for expressing this and you also get to carry your masterpiece around with to you to admire at anytime!  

MG: Who is your inspiration when it comes for nails and nail designs?    

I get inspired by lots of different nail artists and can’t pin point just one... I get inspiration from lots of different forms and styles. I love learning new techniques in nail art and love the diversity of themes, colors and fashions out there! Inspiration is everywhere and in everything, from nature to fabrics to colors and patterns around us! 

 
MG: Soon you’ll reach 5K on Youtube! Why did you start this channel in the first place? 

I’m almost at 5K on my YouTube channel so yay! I started this channel a few months after getting into nail art... about three and a half years ago...I wanted to share my designs and learn from others. I love the network of the nail art community and sharing our common love of everything nails.  

 
MG: What's your favorite nail tool/gadget? 

I love nail stamping so, I guess a good clear stamper would be my favorite tool when it comes to nail art. I do like to have a good clean up brush and latex for easy cleaning and I guess good set of nail art brushes is a must for freehand designs. 

MG: Do you have any favorite kinds of designs you like to create? 

I use lots of different techniques to complete my looks and don't stick to one theme. I like switching it up for each mani. I like nail stamping the most but I also do decals, reverse/advanced stamping, lead-lighting, foils, water decal and double stamping. Designs with an Asian theme are my favorite even though I haven't done many myself I've admired other people's creations. I range my designs from florals, to geometric, to Aztec to Asian and everything in between!  

MG: How many gels do you own? What are your 3 favorite gels from Madam Glam?   

I currently have about 120 Madam Glam Gel Polishes. It’s so hard to pick favorites but I do love Navy Blue - a nice classic blue which is great for any occasion. King’s Choice with its pretty holo glitters and Cosmic Sparkle as it can transform any polish into something extra special! 

 
MG: What’s your best tip for getting beautiful, well-groomed nails?   

Always start with a good manicure. Keep nails neat and tidy and don’t skip on prepping nails before going ahead with gel polish. Good prep is the key for a beautiful long lasting manicure, girls!

MG: Which celebrity would be your dream client? Why?   

Two famous ladies I’d like to do nails for are: Kate Middleton-she’s so classy and soft and I’d love to do some soft floral nail design for her and Serena Williams-  she always has incredibly bold, bling-bling nails and I think it would be fun to come up with a design for her! 

MG: Do you have any tip or advice to share with our community, younger and future nail techs or simply nail lovers? 

Just have fun! Nail art is just another way of expressing yourself and should bring you happiness. I love changing things up all the time depending on what I like at that time. Remember, your creativity will never go away!
