French Ombre: From Basic to Brilliant!

While ombre has been wildly popular in hair and couture, the amazing gradient of tones – from shadow to light – is stylishly transforming nails in the same way. We believe your nails play an important role in presenting a chic impression and will need to be dressed up too.
So why not ditch your plain color gel coat and opt for stunning nails with a unique, creative twist. As adored by everyone lately, French Ombre is a beautiful nail trend that has now become a must-have look.
To achieve the French ombre design, you will use the classic French manicure colors. Instead of creating the light color with white tips, you should aim for the two tone ombre look that we all know and love. With our brand new collection of Builder Gels, you can build your nails, create strength and play with colors!
Take a look at the brilliant creative nail art design created by Molly and follow the step by step tutorial!
STEP 1: Apply Builder Royal Blue to one half of the nail gently blending in the edge so there is a soft blend. Cure!
STEP 2: Apply Builder Lavender to the other half making sure to slightly overlap the Builder Royal Blue to create that soft blend. Cure!
STEP 3: Apply your stamp design, or using a fine brush & Madam Glam's Perfect Silver, draw thin diagonal lines from one side to the other side, creating a marble design.
STEP 4: Apply your gold foil on the areas of the nail you want to enhance.
STEP 5: Apply No Wipe Top Coat and cure!
Molly's TIPs & TRICKs for a French Ombre
💅 To build the structure of a nail while creating this design, apply thicker layers of the Builder Royal Blue & Builder Lavender.
💅 If you don't want to build a nail and only want to achieve the design using these, apply a white base then apply the colored builder gel on top. This way, the colors will look more opaque snd your nail won't look bulky.
💅 If you're too intimidated to use thicker layers to build the nail, apply 2-3 normal layers and build the nail thickness like that.
💅 You can use Builder White & Builder Coral using this technique to achieve the Baby Boomer/ French Fade look.
💅 Working with Builder Gel can be a bit tricky at times, especially if the room temperature is much warmer. Be sure to store your gels away from sun light or other sources of heat!
