Madam Glam introduces a new blog series willing to inspire not only future nail technicians but beauty and nail lovers too. By each interview we’ll take, you will have the chance to know & see what it takes to be a nail tech nowadays, how to start a career, what inspires our nail techs, what challenges they’ve been through, what tips & tricks they have for us and many, many more! 

MG: When did you start your career? What do you enjoy most about doing nails?  

I started doing nails in high school as a hobby, but after graduating I went to school to become a Nurse practitioner (Doctorate of nurse practitioner in the field of family practice to be exact), however I never lost the passion for the art of nails so recently I went back to school to become a professional licensed nail tech. I have only had my official license for about 4 months now but I love the freedom, creativity and versatility that it brings.  

MG: Who/What inspires you when it comes for nails and nail designs?    

My nail art is inspired by what I see in nature! Seriously, I can be looking at a tree… or even a pair of sneakers for that matter and BOOM!!! I have an inspiration for a new nail look! 

MG: Why did you start the Youtube channel?  

I started my YouTube Channel last year as a means to document my journey through the world of nails and to show others that even though you may have a career and family there is always time for fun art and to be creative! 

MG: What's your favorite nail tool/gadget?   

Hmmm… this is a hard one, but I would have to say my favorite nail tool is my portable e-file! Oh man, without it I would be so lost!

MG: Do you have any favorite kinds of designs you like to create?   

My favorite nail design would have to be a good ole’ swirl nail! Easy to do and you really can’t mess it up! Gives a beautiful look every time  

MG: How many gels do you own? What are your 3 favorite gels from Madam Glam?   

How many gels do I own? Let’s just say too much to count! But my fav gels from Madam Glam are: Start Dust, Stylishly Fashionable, and Holo Party...Wow that was hard to pick just 3! 

MG: What’s your best tip for getting beautiful, well-groomed nails?   

My best tip for getting well-groomed nails is to PREP, PREP, PREP! I can’t say that enough! Preparing and prepping the nail is the most important step. 

MG: Which celebrity would be your dream client? Why?   

Oh, my my my… If I could do any celeb client it would be Cardi B because she wears her nails long and blinged out just my niche! 

MG: Do you have any tip or advice to share with our community, younger and future nail techs or simply nail lovers?
