MG: When did you start your career? What do you enjoy most about doing nails?
I started my Nail Career back in 2007. What I enjoy most about doing nails is the release of creativity, having ideas in my head and seeing them unfold in reality.
MG: Who were/was the biggest inspiration/s for your nail technician career?
My biggest inspiration would first be my oldest daughter having a career in something I love and enjoy inspires me to show her she can do the same. In relation to being in the Nail Industry, Mindy Hardy was my first and present inspiration. She shared her artistry with the world and it gave me something to look up too. There are many others who are apart of my everyday inspirations as well, Beth Livesay of Nails Magazine, Lauren Wireman, Tashina Green,Temeka Jackson, and Jan Arnold.
MG: Why did you start the Instagram channel?
I started my Instagram after one of my long time clients, Yolonda Willis introduced it to me. I continue to have it to inspire other artist just as Mindy did for me.
MG: What's your favorite nail tool/gadget?
My favorite nail tool is my creative mind. Second in line would be a Nail Art brush.
MG: Do you have any favorite kinds of designs you like to create?
My favorite designs to create are Abstract and Out of the Box Art. I strive for originality, and things no one has ever seen nor done before!
MG: How many gels do you own? What are your 3 favorite gels from Madam Glam?
I own over 1,000 gels. I can only choose 3? But there’s so many favorites...hmm, the Top 3 gels from Madam Glam are: Perfect White, Perfect Black, and Perfect Red!
MG: What’s your best tip for getting beautiful, well-groomed nails?
Be precise, neat, and take your time.
MG: Which celebrity would be your dream client?
I have 3 ladies I dream of servicing one day I cannot just choose one: Michelle Obama, Janelle Monae, and CARDI B!
MG:Do you have any tip or advice to share with our community, younger and future nail techs or simply nail lovers?
Think about what you want to do/be in this world focus on it! Own it! Live it! And it will be yours!
